Safe Streets (CCTV)

Treaty Three Police Service, in partnership with Solicitor General’s office and 3 pilot communities, is happy to announce the Pilot Program of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) in our Treaty #3 communities. This strategic decision has been made with one primary focus: ensuring the safety and security of our community members.

At Treaty Three Police Service, our foremost priority is the protection and well-being of everyone within our jurisdiction. We understand the importance of proactive measures in maintaining a safe environment for all residents, visitors, and businesses.

The introduction of CCTV technology plays a crucial role in enhancing our ability to monitor and respond to potential threats effectively. By strategically placing cameras in key locations throughout our communities, we can better deter criminal activity, provide timely assistance in emergencies, and gather valuable evidence to aid in investigations.

Moreover, CCTV serves as a powerful tool in crime prevention, acting as a visible deterrent to would-be offenders. Its presence sends a clear message that unlawful behavior will not be tolerated, helping to foster a sense of security and peace of mind among residents.

It’s important to note that our use of CCTV is rooted in transparency and accountability. We adhere to strict guidelines and protocols to ensure the responsible and ethical use of this technology, respecting the privacy rights of individuals while prioritizing community safety.

We believe that by embracing innovative solutions like CCTV, we can create safer and more resilient communities where everyone can thrive. Together we can continue working towards a future where safety and security are top priority.

Thank you for your ongoing support as we strive to make Treaty #3 communities safer for everyone.

The CCTV initiative is currently in its pilot phase, serving as a preliminary assessment of its effectiveness. If you believe that implementing CCTV in your community could contribute to enhancing safety measures, we invite you to reach out to us.
