TREATY THREE POLICE SERVICES BOARD SELECTS NEW CHIEF OF POLICE

(KENORA) – The Treaty Three Police Services Board is very pleased to announce the selection of Cheryl Gervais as the new Chief of Police for the Treaty Three Police Service (T3PS). The offer was extended to Inspector Cheryl Gervais and she accepted this important leadership role.

Cheryl Gervais, a proud member of Iskatewizaagegan #39 First Nation, brings over 20 years of service, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the communities and assuming numerous leadership positions throughout her career at Treaty Three Police Service. This decision comes after the retirement of Chief of Police Kai Liu in August of this year.

The Treaty Three Police Services Board has expressed their wholehearted support for Cheryl Gervais’s appointment, underlining Cheryl’s dedication and exemplary leadership within our police force. We have full confidence that she will continue to serve our communities with the same level of commitment and professionalism that she has shown throughout her career.

Cheryl Gervais’s selection as Chief of Police signifies a new chapter for the Treaty Three Police Service, and the Board is confident that she will provide strong and effective leadership as they work to ensure the safety and well-being of the communities.

Treaty Three Police Service is a self-administered Policing entity under the First Nations Policing Program in Canada and is responsible for full policing duties in 23 First Nation Communities in the Treaty #3 territory.
