Treaty Three Police Service Investigation Leads to Drug and Firearm Seizures
(Kenora) – The Treaty Three Police Service (T3PS) Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the T3PS Crime Unit, T3PS Emergency Response Team (ERT), and T3PS Uniform Officers, has successfully concluded an investigation targeting the illegal possession of firearms and the trafficking of controlled substances within Treaty #3 communities.
On May 28, 2026, members of the T3PS Street Crime Unit executed multiple warrants at a residence in Iskatewizaagegan #39.
As a result of the investigation, officers seized:
- Over five ounces of cocaine believed to be intended for distribution;
- Five firearms, including a sawed-off shotgun;
- $1,945 in Canadian currency; and
- Controlled substances with an estimated local street value of approximately $30,000.
Three individuals were arrested and charged in connection with the investigation:
- A 40-year-old male from Iskatewizaagegan #39;
- A 35-year-old female from Iskatewizaagegan #39; and
- A 19-year-old male from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The accused have been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking under Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm under Section 91(1) of the Criminal Code.
The 19-year-old male from Winnipeg has also been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
All three individuals were held in custody for bail court.
This investigation demonstrates the ongoing commitment of Treaty Three Police Service to disrupting the flow of illegal drugs and removing illegal firearms that pose a risk to community safety. Through intelligence-led policing and collaboration across units, T3PS continues to take proactive action against criminal activity that impacts the well-being of Treaty #3 communities
