Treaty Three Police Service and Ontario Provincial Police – OCEB Kenora Collaboration Leads to Significant Drug Seizure and Arrests

(KENORA) – The Treaty Three Police Service, in collaboration with the Ontario Provincial Police – Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau Kenora, successfully concluded a four-month investigation targeting the trafficking of controlled substances within Treaty 3 communities.
On May 16, 2025, following a proactive traffic stop initiated by the Street Crime Unit in the City of Kenora, two individuals were apprehended. The operation resulted in the seizure of the following items:
- 144 grams of suspected cocaine
- $100 in Canadian currency
- 2022 Jeep Compass motor vehicle
The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $14,400.
A 41-year-old female resident of Grassy Narrows has been charged under Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Additionally, a 37-year-old male resident of Winnipeg, Manitoba, faces similar charges.
Both individuals have been released pending future court appearances.
