Stolen Vehicle Recovered, Two Firearms Seized

(KENORA) Treaty Three Police Service (T3PS) officers responded to a call for service regarding a stolen vehicle reported in the Washagamis Bay area on November 10, 2024. Following an extensive investigation, the stolen vehicle was successfully located and recovered in Wauzhushk Onigum First Nation.

During the recovery, officers seized two sawed-off shotguns found in connection with the stolen vehicle. The firearms were safely secured, and no injuries were reported.

In addition to the stolen vehicle, a double-wide snow machine trailer with no license plates was recovered in the community. T3PS is seeking assistance in identifying the owner of the trailer. If anyone is missing a trailer or has information about its ownership, please contact T3PS.

Staff Sergeant Joe Gervais emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in ensuring community safety:

“The recovery of the stolen vehicle and the seizure of these dangerous weapons highlight the dedication of our officers and the value of strong community partnerships. We will continue working diligently to hold those responsible accountable and keep our communities safe.”
