T3PS and OPP Investigate Fatal Single Motor Vehicle Accident on Wabaseemoong (Whitedog) First Nation over the weekend.
(Kenora, ON) – The Treaty Three Police Service in partnership with the Ontario Provincial Police, are investigating a fatal single vehicle accident that occurred in the First Nation Community of Wabaseemoong (Whitedog) this past Saturday night.
On Saturday September 27, 2014 at approximately 18:35hrs Treaty Three Police Service received a report of a MVA rollover with injuries which was later upgraded to a fatal. A 43 year old male of the Mishkeegogamang First Nation was subsequently transported to Lake of the Woods District Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. A 19 year old male from Wabaseemoong was also treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries that resulted from the accident.
The collision is still under investigation by T3PS with the assistance of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Section.
