The Patrol Services Unit is responsible for Community oriented policing that promotes community safety, building collaborative partnerships with local businesses, developing and facilitating innovative community programs, and providing culturally sensitive service delivery.
The Treaty Three Police Service currently has 89 sworn Police Officers. Of the 89 sworn members, 68 are assigned specifically to the Uniform Division; The Patrol Unit truly is the backbone of the Police Service.
The Patrol Services Officers are the most visible members of the Police Service; you will see them driving marked patrol cars and wearing a dark blue Treaty Three Police Service uniform. Within the Patrol Services Unit, Officers are separated into platoons, resulting in a rotation divided into day and night shifts that cover a 24 hour seven days a week schedule.
Patrol Services Officers serve the Treaty Three Police Service Communities at the front end of crime by responding to calls for service and emergency situations. Their visible presence on Streets, Schools, in our Communities, and attending our Cultural Events during their shifts helps to deter crime, assist those in need and be part of the Community.
